Urueña is a municipality in the province of Valladolid in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León. It belongs to the region of Tierra de Campos. It has one of the best-preserved walled urban centers in the entire province and preserves a large part of the wall with two of its gates and the remains of the castle in one of its corners. It houses the Joaquín Díaz ethnographic center, the Luis Delgado museum of musical instruments of the world, the Mercedes Rueda exhibition hall and the bell museum. Since 2007 it is the first Villa del Libro in Spain, which is why it is included in the network of Villas del Libro in the world.
