Puebla de Almenara is a municipality in the province of Cuenca, in the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha. Its foundation dates from the year 1332 by the first Duke of Villena, the Infante don Juan Manuel. It is located in the sierra de Almenara or Jaramena, where the nearby remains of a celtiberian castro on the hill of the cross.
