Cervantes square
Alcalá de Henares is a municipality located in the east of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. His term extends over the region of La Campiña, although part of this is spread over the Alcarria. Its origin is from celtiberian period but will be with the arrival of the romans when it will form a remarkable city called Complutum. It is famous for its University, built by Cardinal Cisneros in the year 1499.
