Castle of Pedraza (Segovia)

The current castle was built on the remains of previous fortifications of Roman and Arab origin during the thirteenth century, with subsequent modifications between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries. Formerly the castle was included in the walls that surrounded the town. The plant is irregular and is located on the northwest edge of the hill where the village is located. It is surrounded by a moat and a precipice. Inside the homage tower, Romanesque arches, the cistern and the entrance door of black poplar stand out. He currently belongs to the family of the painter Ignacio Zuloaga.
